THE DIXIE CUPS

The Dixie Cups are the legendary ladies of rock n' roll, who beat the Beatles out of the #1 spot on the charts in 1964 with their classic Chapel of Love. Among their other hit records are the million-selling Iko, Iko along with People Say, Little Bell and You Should Have Seen The Way He Looked At Me.

The group consists of Barbara Hawkins, Rosa Hawkins (sisters) and Dale Mickle. They have made many television appearances, including the May 1989 Cinemax Sessions special, The Neville Brothers & Friends. Other appearances include the Dolly Parton Show on ABC-TV, Rock n' Roll Palace and Nashville Now, both on TNN. The Dixie Cups have also appeared on Dick Clark's American Bandstand, Shindig, Hullabaloo, and their 1988 stint on Mardi Gras To The World was televised live around the world via BBC.

Their music has been heard in many movies, including Rain Man and The Big Easy.

With their bright, beautiful costumes and very high spirited show, from their appearance on stage to their exit, the Dixie Cups have the audience singing, laughing, clapping and dancing in the aisles chanting for more. And when they slow the pace, they change the mood and display their superb three part harmonies with love songs and ballads.

Their goal is to bring a smile to your face with their music. The Dixie Cups are the most exciting female group performing today...and still going strong after 25 years. Don't miss their show; you'll miss a great treat!
