PARK AVENUE

Society Dance Band

Biography

Founded in 1987, members of The Park Avenue Society Dance Band have played with the most popular society bands in the country, including Lester Lanin and Peter Duchin. But the group member's credentials do not stop there. Big band leaders like Benny Goodman, the Dorsey brothers, and even Tito Puente have also utilized the talents of these musicians. Contemporary recording artists, including Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, Billy Joel, James Brown, David Sanborn, and The Temptations, have also utilized the members of Park Avenue for recording and live engagements.

Presidents and princesses have danced to the tempos the group's members have played across the country. They have also played numerous corporate, charitable, and private parties with the same attention to detail. The group's forte is its ability to pace a party with an eclectic blend of society, big band, jazz, pop, rock, and Latin standards. Covering a wide variety of music from the 1930's to the 1990's, The Park Avenue Society Dance Band plays the right mix of music at the right time, insuring a successful party.
