Taking this picture at the perfect time of day proved to be a difficult task. If there was too
much light, it would destroy what I was trying to capture in this image. The photo required
shadows to create the precise impression I was trying to make. The black and white tone
brings out that impression.

The different textures of concrete symbolize the different cultures we have today. United we
stand, without one, the other will fail. It’s the structure that holds us together. It is people we
depend on. The bridge‘s structure is formed in a way so one portion helps support the other.
We need something or someone to be there in case we might fall.

Deep in the photo, is a man fishing. The man requires his fishing pole, without the pole, the
man would catch no fish. The man fishes for what he does not have. Trying to catch it with
bait shows no luck. But the man does not give up, and still puts all his knowledge into trying
to catch something, anything, that might make his day fulfilled. He knows that he may stay
down there until the sun goes down, and the lanterns flicker on. But he wont give up. This is
one thing he loves to do, and he needs that, which he does not have…
