Restoration
In this image two things come to mind that are very opposite; parched soil and flowing water.
Bird tracks in the mud are evidence that life once existed in this parched piece of earth. There are times in our lives that we too leave tracks of our existence but somehow get lost in the dessert. We become thirsty and must move on to a better way of life. Also, I admire the roughness of the cracks in the ground and how they are consumed by the softness of the water, signifying restoration from harsh times. Additionally, the older looking shoots of grass that are growing in the ground are survivors of the drought; this is evident because most of them have been trampled by the creatures that lived there before the drought. The plants that did survive will now be stronger than ever because they have made it through the worst times. A drought seems to be almost exactly reflecting the current times. When times get tuff the people that make it out of the drought, come out with a different look on life, One that is more conservative and thankful rather than the view they had before the drought.
