Dedicated to the Art form and Commercial Application of Digital Photography.
Art of Photography
The class introduces the basis elements of photography as an art form including concepts such as, composition, lighting, shape, color, camera angles, focus, motion, cropping, etc. Photoshop or other image software is also introduced.
Students learn the critique process and then capture their own images based upon a series of studies - people, still life, landscape, etc. Assignments include doing studies and presentations in each of these areas.
Each student presents their work on a weekly basis for critique.
It is the goal of the club to have each student develop their own portfolio, and have at least one work either published or exhibited.
It is a further goal of the club to create a commercial application for their work.
